FAQ

What does the EC20 measure?

The EC20 measures electrical conductivity (EC) in three automatically switching ranges: 0 to 200 µS/cm, 0 to 2000 µS/cm, and 0 to 20 mS/cm—each with an accuracy of ±1% of the full-scale value. It also measures temperature from 0 to 50 °C with automatic temperature compensation (ATC).

How do I calibrate the EC20?

The EC20 supports automatic 1- to 2-point calibration with automatic buffer recognition. The package includes two calibration solutions with different concentration levels. Calibration is performed at the push of a button and takes only a few minutes.

For which applications is the EC20 suitable?

The EC20 is suitable for monitoring drinking water, hydroponics and aquaponics, aquariums, and swimming pool and pond maintenance. Thanks to its IP67 protection rating, it is waterproof and floats—making it ideal for use right by the water.

Can I measure TDS with the EC20?

The EC20 directly measures electrical conductivity (EC). TDS (total dissolved solids) is calculated from the EC value but is not displayed separately. If you would like to display TDS along with pH, salinity, and other parameters simultaneously, we recommend the PC60 (5-in-1).
