Aquaculture

Aquaculture refers to all forms of controlled rearing of living organisms in water, such as fish, mussels, crabs, algae, etc.

Water properties such as pH, environmental chemicals, oxygen levels directly affect aquaculture.

Since the pH value of the water is an essential parameter for aquaculture, it is measured directly both colorimetrically and by means of photometry.

A special case of aquaculture is fish farming, which is intended to meet certain water quality requirements. This includes the oxygen content, the pH value, the salinity, the temperature, as well as phosphate, nitrate and COD.

For this purpose, we especially recommend our 850 series, which can measure pH as well as oxygen content, salinity and temperatures.
