Turbidity Meter
Turbidity describes the degree to which a liquid is optically clouded by particles it contains and is measured in NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units). It is an important indicator of water quality, for example in drinking water monitoring, wastewater treatment, and aquaculture.
When selecting a device, it’s worth considering the measurement technology: Infrared sensors comply with the international standard ISO 7027, while white light sensors are based on the U.S. standard EPA 180.1.
