The PH850-DP from Apera Instruments is a handy and easy-to-use meter for the determination of pH, ORP (electrode sold separately e.g. 301Pt-C) and temperature. It is particularly suitable for measuring dairy products (milk, yogurt, buttermilk, etc.) and other liquid foods such as jam, barbecue sauce, syrup, etc…. The pH electrode included in the scope of delivery LabSen® 823 has been specially designed to perform fast, accurate and reproducible measurements without the diaphragm being blocked by proteins or sulfides. The electrode has an integrated temperature sensor, which enables automatic temperature compensation (ATC). The PH850-DP is protected by a silicone cover and is waterproof and dustproof (IP57), making it particularly well suited for field use, even in harsh environments.
- Equipped with the LabSen® 823 pH electrode for fast and precise measurements of dairy products and other liquid foods
- Silicone case provides safe & firm grip and protects from shocks
- Waterproof and dustproof (IP57) for use in harsh environments
- Fold-out stand for convenient indoor operation
- Quick and easy 1- to 3-point calibration
- Large, illuminated LCD simultaneously displays conductivity value and temperature, as well as additional measurement and calibration information
- Self-diagnosis supports calibration or troubleshooting
The meter is RoHS and EC certified and has a 3 year warranty (6 months on the electrode).
Electrode
The LabSen® 823 from Apera Instruments is a pH electrode with integrated temperature sensor and is manufactured using proprietary Swiss sensor technology and materials. It is specially designed to measure proteinaceous solutions, so it is suitable for dairy products such as milk, cream, yogurt and other liquid food products such as mayonnaise, jam, BBQ sauce, syrup and so on.
Silver ion trap reference system + protelyte electrolyte – The LabSen 823 electrode is equipped with a silver ion trap reference system and a protelyte reference solution. In addition to the long-life reference system, a silver ion trap is incorporated to prevent protein blockage or contamination of the diaphragm.
LabSen S-Type Hemispherical Glass Diaphragm – Thanks to the low-resistance and rugged glass diaphragm, the electrode delivers fully stabilized readings in 15 to 30 seconds, yet is up to 10 times more rugged than conventional products, significantly reducing the likelihood of the electrode breaking during impacts. It can be used at temperatures up to 100°C.
Patented pH/Temperature Combination Structure – The temperature probe is placed in an independent cavity under the pH glass membrane. With the built-in thermally conductive medium, the temperature sensing capability can be increased by 40%, which significantly improves the response time and stability of the pH electrode.
